This level of training is for our workforce who may have some level of contact in their role with children/young people with SEND.

Key principles for working with children and young people with SEND, with a focus on:

  • Inclusion
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Co-production, participation, and engagement
  • Personalisation
  • Advocacy

Key processes which support children and young people with SEND, with a focus on:

  • Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Roles and responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team
  • The Local Offer and how Children, Young People and their families can access it
  • Understanding the complexity of parent carer journey and potential trauma.
